Jayden 4th Grade…WHAT!!!!
Our baby boy!!!!! Is growing up… out here in the state of Oklahoma I think 4th grade is the last year of Elementary School, I am soooo NOT ready for him to grow up, or to start middle school… just yet!!!!!!!!! Jayden is doing really good so far. I just met with his teacher and he is doing work at 4th grade 4th month, so about 3 months ahead. His reading comprehension need work, the teacher is not worried as she said she will give Jayden the test in another 6 weeks and she knows he will be right on target for this subject. Jayden’s strongest subject is Math… (Has to be from daddy’s side) Jayden is NOT too excited about school, but when he is there he does a GREAT job. His teacher will not send homework home. I was not okay with this, but after our conference she made it a little more understanding for me. Jayden will bring homework that is not completed, and every Friday he has homework for the weekend, and we have him read 30 minutes daily (still trying to get that in on football nights) and we practice spelling and definitions everyday, soooo he does have work daily. Jayden asked to play football…. Of coarse when he asked we were absolutely okay with it. Jayden is busy 4 nights a week with football, and games, so sometimes 5 days. This leaves very little room to get into trouble!!!! Jayden has life skills to be completed daily…. Bring in trash cans on Monday’s, pick up dog poop 3 days a week, make sure his room is clean, keep all dirty laundry in hamper (I think this is a challenge for all boys) feed the dog, and make sure she has fresh water, and clean up his plate after each meal. I nailed 3 envelopes up in my closet for each kiddo and every Friday they get there allowance, we give them 1 dollar bills because the 1st envelope is for saving, the 2nd is for giving, and the 3rd is for spending, they can divide it however they wish, and once a month we go to the bank and deposit the cash from the savings envelope onto there own savings account. Every Sunday they bring there offering with them. We are teaching Jayden all about saving, and how credit cards are not the way to go. Jayden is doing really well with his manners, he told me the first week of school that he has to address his teacher with maam. I love this because not only are we teaching him, but he has practice at school too- LOVE being on the same page!!!! We are so PROUD of Jayden and he is the PERFECT boy he he!!!!
