Crisp Air

The summer nights of HOT HOT HOT weather has finally come to an end.   We can finally enjoy the afternoons outside playing.  Jayden and Persaus had some friends over this last weekend.  The boys were throwing all the sport balls on the roof then having to climb a latter to get them down!!!  The girls played on the skateboards.

How old is Grandma?

Persaus- "Mom, how old is grandma? Not the grandma with the little dog."
mom- "61"
Persaus- "I thought she told me it had 3 numbers in it!"

Persaus says some of the funniest things....... I need to write the down and post them more often.  You know it's funny when Jayden laughs :-)))))))))

Daddy is HOME

Daddy is finally home!!!!!! We have been waiting for this day since the day he left 7 months ago. This time having him gone has been different from all the other times.  Jayden and Persaus are getting older so they completely understand he is not here.  through out these 7 months I have seen the days when they miss him the most and little Persaus just breaks down and cries for her daddy.  I give her my phone and tell her to text him....... she will get on the emojis and go to town writing a story through pictures.  I can tell with Jayden because he will be sooo sad and quiet and I will bring up memories and talk about him coming home.  I love when he talked to Jayden on the phone just the day before he got home.  Jayden was asking when he was flying in to watch his games, trying to get the exact date!!!!  AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH WE ARE SOOOOOO EXCITED HE IS HOME!!!!!!!! Thank you Jesus for bringing him home!!!!!

12 years of mariage

12 years ago today I married my best friend.  A journey we started at a very young age.  A journey that because of each other we have grown in so many ways.  Brian is my better half, he is has stood by my side through my worst.  He still gives me butterflies just thinking about him.  I am soooooo happy to have him home.  Here is to another 12 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MINUTE to WIN it

After the half time at the high school homecoming game I decided to pack up the kids plus there friends and head home.  Brainstorming on something fun we could do when we got home minute to win came to mind.  I got on Pinterest real quick and wrote down some things to but at the store!  Persaus, Maddie and I went to the store and after getting all that we needed we walked passed silly string- I could NOT pass this up....... We stopped at a friends so i could put together a poster that read "ARE YOU IN IT TO WIN IT" We parked my car outside the garage and called the boys outside, that's when we chased them all over the yard spraying them till the bottles were empty.  The boys had revenge and got shaving cream and chased us!!!! It was a blast beginning to our game night!!!!
The games we played were:  Candy Stack
                                               Junk in your trunk
                                                M & M suck
                                                Doughnut stack

I had a few more games to play, but it was almost midnight and they had eaten so much Candy they started shoving chocolate doughnuts in each others mouths making a mess that i had to call it a night.  We will be playing this again, I have a list of more fun/funny games to be played!!!!!

Football

Jayden is in 3rd devision this year and is doing great- I will have to write down the 4 positions he plays because I forget :-(( this last Saturday he had the longest run with the ball, I think he went 30-35 yards.  I love watching him play!!!! He is getting better every practice and game! GO ELGIN EAGLES!!!!!!!!

That's my boy #11

After game shenanigans

These girls were real troopers in the extreme HEAT this game day!!!! This is when I could of cried not having Brian home- it was just toooooo HOT!!!!

Persaus helping Anthony carrying his helmet after practice

I can find Jayden on the field in the mess of the players because he has YELLOW cleats :-))

Gardening

I DO NOT HAVE a green thumb.......... I can craft and bake and cook and clean for hours!!!!  I bought Tulips from SAMs club this weekend and the bag had 50 bulbs!!!! I bought them because Persaus LOVES to play in the dirt, or garden-  she was all excited and I let her lay out the pattern where we would plant each bulb.  Then it was time to dig 50 holes..... I discovered I didn't own a little shovel and Persaus found crickets and grass hopers and butterflies that was may more fun than helping me :-(((( I started planting and planting and planting (it took me about 2 hours)  I planted 20 bulbs and took a break.  Brian was watching his Cowboys game and I jokingly said during commercial go plant some bulbs....... I love him because in about 10 minutes he planted 10!!!!!  Later he planted some more, then he dug and I planted the rest (team work). Now lets hope that we have pretty tulips this spring..... And that it actually looks pretty

Cowboys training camp

I don't know a thing about football, my husband whom I've been with for 15 years is a die hard fan.  Every year when the season starts I tell myself under my breath here we go again..... Actually I voice it out loud because football takes over my household and I don't see my hubby till Super Bowl when I watch commercials.   When the season starts and he comes out of our bedroom with his Dallas Cowboys jersey on and one for me to wear and this football, this "good luck football" he caries during the entire game.  He makes his phone calls to his buddies across the states to make sure they are dressed and ready for the game.   I make him snacks and stair at the tv for hours and I complain because I just don't understand the game, I feel like every game there is another rule added lol.........  but my husbands excitement as he yells for the team so loud you would think you all could hear him as if he was on the sidelines with the players at a home game in Dallas..... But we are in Oklahoma, where he takes crap from everyone in OK because he is a Dallas Cowboys fan!!!! And he is so proud to represent his Cowboys!!!!!
Today August 2nd the Cowboys practiced in Oxnard C.A.  Brian took on a traveling position which moved him to Oxnard for work leaving me and our 2 kids behind in Oklahoma.  Fortunately the kids and I were able to come to Temecula, CA (our home town) and stay with family for the summer. Even more exciting, the kids and I were able to go visit daddy up in Oxnard.  On Friday after work we decided to go watch the cowboys practice, with very little money in our pockets we went because parking was only $10.00 and the rest was free.  After all just being there was sooo exciting and a dream come true for Brian.  We waited in a line for over 2 hours so the kids could get a blue wrist band and after practice if they were lucky they could get autographs... So about 45 minutes before the practice was over we got into another line, the line for autographs.  We sent our outgoing son Jayden who is 11 with a marker and some Dallas goodies and we also sent our 6 year old daughter,  Persuas, we had to get her all hyped up in hopes she would  hold the marker and backpack over the fence and maybe a player would sign it for her.
Brian went off to continue watching as I stayed close to watch our kids.  Brian came up and said get the kids and waved passes to me.  I was unsure but said okay, Jayden was running his mouth because he and Persaus had a what we thought was a great spot to get autographs.  But little did we know the passes we got were VIP and took us up close to the field.  WOW! I said, thank you Jesus for this gift for my husband.  We watched the end of practice. Persaus and I watched from the VIP section while Jayden and Brian went on to get autographs back behind us and Tony Romo was coming closer but in front of us on the field, so I grabbed a magazine off the table and said come on Persaus lets try and get this guys autograph for daddy.   We tried on 1 side then we went onto another side of the fence where he came up and signed the magazine.......
We found Brian and Jayden still talking with Brandon Carr.  And then the Head coach Jason Garrett came up and I took a pix of Brian and him.
The day was amazing from the beginning when we walked in, but the ending was a dream, a dream that became a reality for Brian.  The smile on his face sitting in the stands was serial, the look on his five when he waved the VIP passes was confused shock, the look on his face standing in VIP with the Dallas Cowboys was priceless.
I held my tears back so many moments throughout the evening because today was the BEST GIFT Brian could ever receive, a gift that I his wife could never pay for to him to experience.  Thank you Dallas Cowboys for an amazing fun filled day!!!! Good luck this season!!!!!!
