End of the School year open house

The same night as open house was the kids graduation from Awana which we all felt was the most important.... well Jayden thought going to open house so he can play with his friends on the play ground was the MOST important, but after a few minutes of talking with him and bringing him back to reality..... we went on to Church.  Mrs. Moser Jayden's second grade teacher let me come in on another day and check out some of his amazing work.  Every year I pick a specific project and scrap the front of a 3 ring binder for every year and fill it with his School work.  This year I kept all of his weekly news articles, he talked about all different topics to things we did on the weekends to crafts, riding bikes, desert trips.  It was awesome to see what he had to write about every week and also how he told the story, almost like his own personal journal :)

I sat next to Jayden and played around the world math game... the bell rang like 2 or 3 kids before I could have a chance to yell out an answer to a math flash card.... to see if I was smarter than a second grader HA! HA! HA!

This year was so much fun.... we loved the teacher and all his class mates were awesome friends this year :)))

Jayden has progressed in so many ways, his reading is at a 5th grade level, and all his other areas are now in the 4th grade level.  his hand writing needs some improvement and I feel like he need help with spelling some easy words that are just spelled not the same as they sound.  Other than a few areas he is right on and I don't expect him to be at the top or force him.... I encourage him to practice and take his time as well as praise him for how well he is doing at his level :)))
