Lake Lawtanka

Saturday Afternoon we spent some time walking along the lake.  Brian and the kids skipped rocks across the lake.  I was having a hard day with the blues.... missing my sister and whatever is going on with me.  walking along the water and listening to the still air and wild animals and a couple boats going by was not the beach that Angie and I love. but being by the water helped me :-)

Grandpa Negri came into town from California to celebrate Alexis Birthday.  We went to dinner Friday night at  BBQ place that Uncle Tom and Grandpa Negri love.  After dinner we went to Uncle Tom and Aunt Amanda's to sing Happy Birthday to Alexis and have Mickey Mouse cake.  Saturday morning was soccer game day and Grandpa Negri, Uncle Tom, Aunt Amanda and Alexis came to watch both games.  Today was not our day to win either soccer game but making memories with family was fun.  Saturday afternoon we packed up and went fishing.  At the Damn :-( the guys had a blast catching 2 fish and the girls sat and played with chalk and painted with water on the cement.  Jayden, Persus, Aunt Amanda, Alexis and I went for a walk on the rocks down to the water.  Jayden and Persaus played with the tiny bate fish and played with the croupy that the guys caught.  Sunday afternoon we all met at the riding track and enjoyed our last day with Grandpa Negri.  Uncle Tom brought his Rhino and we brought our bikes. In the crazy wind, even thought the weather was perfect!!!  we were covered in dirt!!! We ended our day with a dinner at Meers.  YUMMY!!!!!  saying good bye to Grandpa Negri is not easy........ but the memories we made with him were soooo much fun.

Ice Cream

Once in a while we (maybe once every couple months) we like to go to Sonic for an ice-cream.  Today, we took Eden with us and got our Sonic ice-creams.

Grand Lake

A mini vacation for our family that was needed for a while.  With Brian out of town last minute we needed to go away as soon as we could.  We stayed in our parents time share (thank you) we got up there late Friday through the rain and more rain.  We were expecting snow the next day so we went to the store to get all that we needed for the weekend.  As soon as we got out of Walmart snow was falling down (big flakes) we didn't have anything planned for today so we stayed in and watched movies and played pool, table tennis and the boys beat the high scores in the arcade.  Monday, we planned on Horse ridding at a ranch a few minutes from the condo.  Jayden wasn't too sure at first about riding and he was put on the biggest horse. but he was the oldest so the horse was very mellow and followed along.  Persaus was sooooo excited when we told her we all were going to ride.  She wanted to go go go.  Her horse did really well!  Persuas followed behind the lady that took us on our trail ride and Persau's horse kept butting the horse in front and the trainer had to keep telling Persaus to back off a little bit.  Persaus thought it was so funny though :/  Daddy's horse was not wanting to walk through the mud and water so his horse was stubborn.  His horse would stop way behind us so Daddy had to trot his horse back to our line.  Every time daddy had to make his horse trot mommies horse would look back and start trotting.  It was all fun and dad and mom laughed soooo hard until later that day and the next morning when our inside legs hurt so bad from the trotting.  We enjoyed pizza for lunch.  Persaus and mom played cards and sipped our drinks out on the patio.  Monday afternoon we drove around the Marina and found a spot to park and cast the fishing poles.  While we waited for fish to bite the kids found giant pieces of foam and built a fort with a flag and took bait from Brian's and painted the foam.  Family time was what we needed to get away from being home and the everyday mess.  We look forward to our next vacation............(soon, i hope)
