"Coach Brian"

We finally got Jayden signed up for soccer out here in Elgin!!!! almost 200 hundred kids signed up so they needed more coaches...... Brian said he would and I am sooo happy he is because he has such a passion for this sport and is soooo amazing with kids!!!!! He was all excited when we got home after he signed up saying I am "Coach Brian"  secretley I think he wants Jayden and I to call him that LOL.  The kids had homework already the first night of Brian being Coach, they had to think of a name for our team and it had to have Owl's apart of it so we are the........... "Lightning Owls"  I am super excited to be the "Soccer Mom" and team mom and all that comes in between.  I am trying to find Persaus a Cheerleading outfit thats black and red (our colors) that is less than 70.00 dollars- thats the price I have seen so far :((  I am planning an end of the season soccer party at our house. I have been racking my brain for fun, different healthy snacks that all the kids can have and will enjoy for after the games :))  we really like all the parents we have met so far as they just want there kids to have fun like we want too!!!! I am excited to post more on..... Coach Brian

Getting Organized.......

Well I have been in some kind of weird funk.... I am going to call it the it's too cold to do anything excuse and have not wanted to go running at ALL.... so Jayden had Soccer practice yesterday and I thought well it's sunny out I am going to get my Bob down and jog to the field..... ummm I didn't realize that a cold front had come in and wind that seriously blew so hard that both my hands pushing didn't even keep me on the street.... I was hooked up to my ipod and all bundled up and more jackets under the stroller because I knew that as it got later it would be cold, I had Persaus all bundled up and 2 blankets..... I made it to the field and half way through practice I couldn't feel my hands anymore so I jumped into Brian's truck with Persaus!!!!  I went online this evening and pulled up training for a Marathon.... okay don't get excited I'm training for a half :))) but I thought training for a full would make it easier sooooo Tuesday is my first day of training (Monday is a rest day- how convenient ha ha!!!!)  I will keep everyone posted on my progress and the dates of half I want to do!!!!

Snow in Elgin

We have been patiently waiting for the snow to come.... every time they say on the new that there is a percentage of snow we got really excited... and then let down cause it wouldn't happen...... well our time had finally came when the sleet was falling like crazzzzy outside and it actually hurt when it hit me :(  then we went to bed waking up to inches of snow and we were sooooo HAPPY!!!! the first day was really windy and cold.... school was canceled as well as on Post so Brian got to enjoy the snow for 3 days with us :)) the kids built a hill and we pushed them down on the sled.  We built them a cave where the snow had built up pretty high from the wind.  We took out our summer inner tubes because they are more slippery and go a lot faster on the snow.  Dallas loved the snow!!! Jayden was having fun building his hill and Persaus ate so much snow I thought she would turn into a snow cone!!!  The kids were snowed in for 4 days and the days Brian was with us he got our Raptor out and went for a ride a few times..... because they don't plow the roads the cops didn't mind him riding it around.... so all the neighbors that had toys brought there's out and they all enjoyed the bikes in the snow :)) An icicle was slowly getting huge right out our back door, by the 3rd day I wouldn't let the kids out back because it was dangerous and I didn't want it to fall on them......  we all enjoyed the snow for days.... until the next snow season that was plenty to get us till next year!!!!!

We baked banana bread.... Persaus asked to use her utensils out of her kitchen so I said sure.... well I didn't check to make sure the measures were accurate to mine.... so we had some salty banana bread that the trash enjoyed :)))

I cut hearts out of paper and Persaus glued them together to make a Valentine sign for her door.
